Sewing Saturday Oct 20 “Touch” quilts were constructed by guild members for  Alzheimer patients.

These quilts provide sensory stimulation to people with Alzheimer disease or another type of
dementia.  Sensory Stimulation has proven to:
• Increase happiness, enjoyment and relaxation
• Lessened sadness and fear
• Increased attentiveness to environment
• Increased communication
• Reduced incidents of reactive behaviours
• Improved staff morale
