The Quilt Show Ricky Timms and Alex Anderson co-host this variety-style quilting show. About once a month a free program is made available for a limited time. You can become a subscriber and purchase 1 or more of the 5 series available. The videos can be viewed in 1 of 3 customizable ‘environments’ – living room, theatre or drive-in movie. A virtual remote is available allowing you to pause, fast-forward and rewind with ease.
QNN TV Quilters News Network is hosted by Jodie Davis. Quite a few free videos are available. For an annual membership of $25 you have access to all the seasons of such shows as Sewing with Nancy, Fons and Porter, Kaye’s Quilting Friends and many, many more. You can watch what you want when you want.
All People Quilt, Better Homes and Gardens American Patchwork and Quilting magazine online version. There are a number of free patterns available. Subscribing to the newsletter give you access to even more. The newsletter comes about once a week.
Bonny Hunter’s Quiltville offers several dozen free patterns with lots of photos of readers’ submissions. She also explains in her tips section her incredible scrap organization system.
Free Motion quilting blog Leah Day features a free motion quilting design each day. She includes a video so you can see how she stitches it. All designs are catalogued in groups of 20. She occasionally sketches out design ideas on images of quilt tops. She offers a free weekly newsletter as well.
Blue Meadow Designs blog Cori Derksen and Myra Harder keep followers up to date on their most recent projects. Like many blogs the authors offer free patterns, recipes, personal anecdotes and links to some of their favourite internet sites.
