Saturday, Feb 16, Dori Hopko of Dori’s Sewing Studio, Sioux Lookout, ON will be instructing a class called Braid in a Day. This technique combines traditional designs and modern colors in this beautiful new pattern. Braids are easy as can be, using pre-cut 2 ½” strips or cutting your own 2 ½” strips of fabric from your own stash. Make it co-ordinating or scrappy. Your choice. One Jelly Roll (40 strips) is enough to make the Braids for sizes ranging from Baby to Kings size quilts. Of course other fabric will be required for the borders. Braid in a Day contains no “set-in seams” and allows you to sew your quilt right away! Each booklet contains yardage and cutting charts for all sizes, making this pattern ideal for all skill levels. An acrylic template is included that saves time and minimizes fabric waste. Cost is approximately $15.00 for the Braid in a Day pattern (including template). This project is guaranteed to sew up beautifully and catch any quilter’s eye!
