Wow! What a week end!!

Summer weather this past week end was in complete contrast to the winter weather we experienced two years ago for our biannual quilt show.  Attendance this year was fantastic.  Vendors tempted visitors with a huge selection of delectable fabrics, patterns and tools.  The quilted items on display amazed and inspired all who viewed them.  Our tea room provided a feast for the eyes and the palette.  Ongoing workshops and demos were informative and entertaining.  Saturday’s Banquet was a great event with miniature quilt auction, delicious dinner, award  presentations and wonderful special guest, fiber artist Lynn Landry-Rody of Thread in Time, Thunder Bay.   Photos of the quilts and events will be posted soon.  For now, here’s the winner of the Thimble Treasures Quilt Show Viewers Choice:   “A Tisket, A Tasket, Log Cabin Basket” made by Nancy Eichel.Sandra Armstrong (show co-chair), Nancy Eichel and Anna May Krassilowski (show co-chair)
